Introducing WE ARE, a bold and thought-provoking canvas print that reimagines identity through symbolism, history and unity. Whether that became tragedy, transformation or both depends on who tells the story.

WE ARE challenges viewers to think beyond simplified narratives. America did emerge from one people—but it was shaped by many. Indigenous foundations, Black American endurance, European and Asian migration, Latin American influence, Middle Eastern and Caribbean spirit and countless mixed identities all live inside the word American.

This artwork is not about erasing differences—it is about honoring them while recognizing the shared space we now occupy.

The grill motif also speaks to voice. Teeth help us speak, pronounce, declare and tell truth. By placing the word AMERICAN across the mouth, the piece asks: Who gets to define America? Who gets heard? Who has always been here?
