INDIGENOUS HOODIE
The INDIGENOUS hoodie is more than apparel — it is a declaration. A reminder that Indigenous people exist on every corner of the Earth and have existed since time immemorial. From the deserts of Australia to the mountains of Peru, from the islands of the Pacific to the forests of Africa, from the tundras of the Arctic to the plains of North America, Indigenous people are the original memory keepers of humanity. They are the first storytellers, the first astronomers, the first farmers, the first architects, the first healers and the first protectors of the land. To be Indigenous is not simply about race or geography. It is about ancestral connection. It is about culture, memory, spirit and belonging. It is the unbroken relationship between people and land, language, tradition, ceremony and identity. Indigenous people carry histories in their bloodlines, songs in their tongues and wisdom in their practices that existed long before modern borders, governments and institutions were created.
The word INDIGENOUS across the chest is intentionally bold because the truth should never whisper. At RMBR, this collection stands firmly in the belief that Black Americans are deeply tied to the Indigenous story of North America. For generations, history has been debated, rewritten and filtered through colonial narratives. Yet throughout the Americas there are countless cultural, spiritual and historical connections linking Black Americans to the Indigenous foundations of this land. This collection challenges people to think deeper about identity, ancestry and the stories we inherited versus the stories we were told to forget. On the back is the statement “Planet Earth Is My Turf” meaning there is no place on this Earth that the Indigenous are foreign on.
The INDIGENOUS hoodie is about remembrance. It is about questioning modern narratives while honoring ancient roots. It is about recognizing that Indigenous identity is not frozen in the past — it is alive today in the people, the music, the language, the style, the resilience and the spirit of communities worldwide. Minimal in design but powerful in meaning, each garment was created to let the message speak for itself. Whether in black, brown or white, the simplicity of the piece reflects the universality of Indigenous existence across the planet. No matter the nation, tribe, people or land, the message remains the same: We were always here.
🪶 WHY IT MATTERS
The INDIGENOUS Collection represents cultural memory, ancestral pride and global connection. It encourages conversation about identity, origins and the shared experiences of Indigenous peoples throughout the world. These garments are not about division — they are about remembrance, reflection and reclaiming narratives that many feel were erased, hidden or overlooked. At RMBR, clothing is used as a canvas for dialogue. Every piece is designed to spark thought, inspire curiosity and keep history alive through fashion, art and storytelling.
All we can do is RMBR.
