Born in Virginia Beach, Pharrell comes from a region once governed by the powerful Powhatan Confederacy, a network of Indigenous nations that shaped the Chesapeake long before colonial maps renamed the land. The PHARELIEN concept imagines a timeline where that lineage of intelligence, creativity and innovation was never interrupted. The back design features the fictional Powhatan Space Car Dealership — 757 Fly High, a playful but meaningful reimagining of Virginia as a hub of Indigenous-led technological innovation. In this alternate future, the descendants of ancient nations are building the vehicles that travel beyond Earth. PHARELIEN is more than a pullover. It’s a conversation about culture, creativity, and imagination. It’s a tribute to Pharrell’s boundary-breaking artistry and Virginia’s Indigenous roots.
